The UK’s largest free celebration of the natural world kicks off 6-7 June. Crafts, activities and nature fun to kick off the festival including:

Open Farm Sunday at Bath Soft Cheese
Sun 7 June 10am – 4pm | Perfect for families wanting a fun, free day out on a real working farm. There will be tractor & trailer rides, meet the animals and see how a dairy farm works, donkey rides, cheese‑making demos, kids’ games, bouncy castle, straw pool, dog show, live music & delicious local food. Open Farm Sunday at Elm Tree Farm
Sun 7 June 11am – 5pm | Families can see the animals, feed the chickens (50p), explore the fields and gardens, enjoy kids’ crafts, tuck into fresh farm‑cooked food, and browse the farm shop full of home‑grown veg, farm‑reared meat, cheese, cakes and ice cream.Bristol Bat Rescue will be on site with some very special bat guests and giving short talks throughout the day. Inflatable Theme Park at Gatscombe Farm Shop
7 June | £10 for an all day wristband which includes most rides (a few excluded). Strictly for ages 2-14 only. No over 14s on equipment. Free admission for accompanying adults. Weather dependent – check on their Facebook page for updates. Buy tickets on the door. Great value day out!

The Festival of Nature 6-14 June
The UK’s largest free celebration of the natural world. There are lots of great events on across the week (some require pre-booking). Highlights:
- 13 & 14 June | Wild Weekend in Millenium Square – Two jam-packed days of free family-friendly nature activities, exhibitor stalls, wildlife film screenings, workshops, performances, live music and parades – including mermaid storytelling and Andy’s Dino Raps!
